About

Founded March 25th, 2000, LUGOLA (LEGO® User Group of Los Angeles) is a LEGO Adult Fan Club for the Greater Los Angeles area. LUGOLA’s mission is to provide a venue for Adult Fans of LEGO to meet and share their passion for LEGO.

At our monthly meetings, we display MOCS (My Own Creations), draft parts, buy, sell, trade, share information and building techniques, and engage in many fun challenges and games. At public shows and events we share our builds and love of bricks.

Our group and members are constantly collaborating with The LEGO Group and other partners. We’ve had had builds featured in The LEGO Movie and The LEGO Batman Movie, turned into an Ideas set, displayed at LEGOLAND, and showcased at The LEGO House. Members have been involved in builds, events, and video content for Doctor Who, Scooby-Doo, Marvel, DC, Star Wars, Disney, and many more partners/properties. Our members have competed on LEGO Masters and worked behind-the-scenes on sets and props. We’ve created stop-motion animation and comics, and won countless building awards.

LUGOLA is for AFOLs – Adult Fans of LEGO®. It is a club for adults with activities, discussions and events aimed at a mature, yet fun-loving audience.

Officially members must be 16 years or older. Some activities that are supported by The LEGO® Group or run by third-parties require participants to be 18 years or older.

However, younger fans can generally participate with parental permission and supervision. Members are also typically welcome to bring their children.

Beyond age, we are open to anyone. We currently have members from LA, OC, Ventura, Kern, Santa Barbara, Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego counties, plus members at large all around the world. That being said, to get the most out of LUGOLA you’ll want to be able to come to our Southern California events.

There is no membership sign-up fee, dues, or anything like that.
